The two institutes announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for joint research and development of related technologies such as CCU, hydrogen energy, and other key technologies for achieving carbon neutrality.

The two institutes will collaborate to develop life-cycle hydrogen technologies such as green hydrogen production without CO2, stable hydrogen production using compounds, and the use of raw materials and thermal/electric resources. Such hydrogen technologies are the most well-known methods for achieving carbon neutrality by substituting energy and raw materials from chemical processes based on chemical fuels.

In order to improve core materials and processes, the two institutes aim to extend their collaboration into fields such as AI (artificial intelligence) and DX (digital transformation).
