In Niagara Falls, New York, Linde will construct a 35-megawatt PEM electrolyzer to create green hydrogen.
The new facility would more than double Linde’s ability to produce green liquid hydrogen in the US and will be the biggest electrolyzer Linde has ever erected internationally.
Linde will construct, own, and run the industrial-scale electrolyzer and generate green liquid hydrogen using hydroelectric power.
By 2025, the factory is anticipated to start operating. In order to satisfy both current and potential clients, Linde will make use of its current distribution and liquefier infrastructure. The electrolyzer being built for this project is the first of several that Linde plans to construct in the US to meet the demand for green liquid hydrogen.
