A few days ago, an exciting development unfolded in the hydrogen sector as the joint venture Lotte-Air Liquide Ener’Hy signed a memorandum of understanding with several key players, including Lotte Global Logistics, Lotte SK Eneroot, Hyundai Motor Company, and the Ministry of the Environment.
This collaboration marks the launch of a project known as “Giant,” aimed at promoting hydrogen mobility across the region.
The “Giant” project is set to kick off with an initial deployment of five fuel cell trucks starting in 2025, with plans to scale up to 200 fuel cell trucks by 2030. This ambitious initiative will not only introduce more hydrogen-powered vehicles onto the roads but also establish the necessary infrastructure to support them. The focus on hydrogen mobility is crucial as we work towards reducing carbon emissions and transitioning to cleaner energy sources.
As part of this initiative, Lotte and its partners will be working diligently to create a robust hydrogen supply chain. This includes developing refueling stations and ensuring that the infrastructure can support the growing number of hydrogen vehicles on the road.
