Australia’s Macquarie Group has concluded the sale of its 15% ownership interest in the Australian Renewable Energy Hub (AREH) project to BP.
The Australian Renewable Energy Hub (AREH) project, formerly known as the Asian Renewable Energy Hub, aims to become one of the largest renewable energy and green hydrogen hubs globally. With a colossal 26 GW of wind and solar generation capacity, the project aspires to revolutionize Australia’s renewable energy landscape by harnessing abundant natural resources to produce green hydrogen and green ammonia on a massive scale.
At the heart of the AREH project lies cutting-edge renewable energy technology, including state-of-the-art wind and solar power generation facilities.
