The Center for Technology Development of the City of Energy Foundation (CIUDEN) in Cubillos del Sil (León) is looking for research and development projects that promote the development of green hydrogen and energy storage technologies. This initiative was launched by the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO).
The ministry claims that by doing so, it is able to open a line of communication with all parties interested in pursuing initiatives related to the full value chain of green hydrogen and energy storage. First, CIUDEN will use the available contracting mechanisms to buy process units that adhere to its ideals, and then, once building and startup are complete, the Foundation will use these units to run various technological initiatives.
The collected interest statements will aid scientific advancement in energy matters, helping to place the country at the forefront of green hydrogen and energy storage. The current CIUDEN facilities in Cubillos del Sil are being adapted as part of this call so that they may house units devoted specifically to these two areas of interest.
There is a state-level public foundation called the City of Energy Foundation (CIUDEN), which is affiliated with the Institute for Just Transition (ITJ) and reports to the Secretary of State for Energy in the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO).
