Redexis choses 1A Ingenieros for construction of green hydrogen plant in Soria
Redexis has chosen 1A Ingenieros to build its first 2.5 megawatt (MW) green hydrogen production facility in Garray (Soria). The facility will have a capacity to produce 300 tonnes of hydrogen annually and will cost close to six million euros to build, plus an additional three million euros from the energy company.
According to reports from Europe Press, the project will also be able to serve the Garray Environmental Business Park, which covers an area of nearly 3,000 square metres and contains the water storage tanks as well as auxiliary facilities for control and monitoring, air conditioning, lighting, security, etc.
GenCell Energy named Rising Star in the Hydrogen Field
In Dubai, a business from Israel was honoured for its groundbreaking work creating hydrogen as a renewable energy source.
At this year’s Connecting Green Hydrogen MENA (Middle East and North Africa) conference, judges recognised GenCell Energy, which creates the clean gas from liquid ammonia.
For its “exceptional vision, innovative spirit, and trailblazing efforts in developing the field of hydrogen energy, which contribute to a sustainable future,” it was singled out.
The fifth annual conference symbolises the shift of Middle Eastern oil and gas firms towards renewable energies, with a focus on hydrogen. The major oil and gas corporations Shell, ExxonMobil, and BP were among the participants.
GenCell uses a catalyst to separate the nitrogen from the hydrogen as it creates clean hydrogen gas from liquid ammonia. The hydrogen interacts with an oxygen-containing electrolyte as the nitrogen is being released.
