AHT hydrogen generator helps reduce emissions in locomotives

In an independent test, the Advanced Hydrogen Technologies (AHT) Group’s hydrogen generator reduced emissions on a Class 08 locomotive in the United Kingdom.

AHT’s R4 Generator was utilized during the first week of the trial, in a joint venture with Harry Needle Railroad Company (HNRC), to “clean” the train by getting rid of any remaining carbon buildup before adding a carbon capture equipment.

According to the study, there was a 22% decrease in overall gas emissions, a 20% reduction in heavy particles, and an 8% reduction in diesel efficiency.


Hermes looks at possibility of using hydrogen-powered trucks

Hermes is looking at the possibility of using hydrogen-powered trucks in its fleet. Hyundai’s fuel cell vehicle is undergoing testing in Rheinhessen, covering 800 kilometers each day.

Hermes has started driving a hydrogen truck that was rented from Hylane.


Inox Air Products enters green hydrogen market

Inox Air Products, a company that produces medicinal and industrial gases, has just entered the green hydrogen market with the goal of growing its clientele and becoming as a significant global supplier of green fuel.

In the current fiscal year (FY25), the company will reach its capex target of Rs 3,000 crore, and promoter and managing director Siddharth Jain stated that the company will invest an average of Rs 1,000 crore annually. Furthermore, Jain intends to keep the company’s growth objective of 16% moving ahead.
