Nel Hydrogen Electrolyser AS has now signed a firm contract with HH2E for 120 MW of alkaline electrolyzer equipment. The value of the contract is approximately EUR 34 million.

A renewable energy firm called HH2E intends to implement scalable hydrogen projects in Germany, such as the HH2E Lubmin in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, where production of hydrogen will start in 2025 and significantly rise by 2030.

“We are thrilled to help HH2E in their efforts to create a greener society because these projects are crucial for the energy transition in Germany and Europe, says Hkon Volldal, CEO of Nel

“The significant availability of high-quality electrolyzers in Europe, such as those that Nel will deliver, is one of the criteria for achieving our target of producing at least a quarter of a million tonnes per year of RED-II compliant green hydrogen in Germany by 2030. Nel’s technology, customer service, and experience have won us over “, adds HH2E co-founder and board member Andreas Schierenbeck.
