Hydrogen truck manufacturer Hyzon Motors has announced a partnership with British logistics company John G Russell Transport.
The two companies want to facilitate the operation of fuel cell electric vehicles in the UK.
The new agreement states that the two partners will cooperate to provide sales, rental and maintenance services to UK fleet owners and operators who wish to decarbonize their transport operations.
The two companies will focus on medium and heavy-duty trucks by jointly developing products and distribution channels aligned with UK demand. This year, for example, the two entities plan to carry out trials with a 44-ton 6×2 tractor designed by Hyzon.
Hyzon will support hydrogen production and distribution in the UK with old and new partners providing the technology and operating the facilities.
The company will focus on hydrogen generated from renewable energy sources. It is currently involved in various projects related to fuel cell vehicles and hydrogen production and refueling infrastructure, for example in California, USA and Utrecht, Netherlands.
