Nikola Corporation and Hexagon Purus have signed a long-term agreement to produce and supply Nikola’s high-performance type 4 hydrogen cylinders.

The deal covers a multi-year duration and is expected to generate revenue in excess of EUR 200 million.

The project’s development phase will begin in the second quarter of 2021. It is expected to certify the technology for sale in European and North American markets.

Hexagon Purus will be positioned for future projects with Nikola in a variety of truck and other vehicle applications as a result of the long-term arrangement.
