The Green Investment Group (GIG) of Macquarie and Nobian have signed a joint ownership agreement for green hydrogen developer HyCC.

When the new joint venture was formed in December 2021, the two companies agreed to split ownership of the venture, which specializes in water electrolysis to produce green hydrogen from renewable power on a large scale.

GIG and Nobian’s combined expertise in large-scale electrolysis will help HyCC achieve its goal of developing a commercial-scale hydrogen production facility.

More than 400MW of green hydrogen projects are currently being developed by HyCC. In Delfzijl, the Netherlands, the company recently received all the necessary permits to build a 20MW green hydrogen plant.
