The Nordex Group has secured an order from Mexico for the supply of 20 N155/4.X turbines.
The turbines will be delivered in a project-specific mode of 4.8 MW, giving the wind farm a cumulative rated capacity of 96 MW. The order also requires a two-year support contract for the turbines.
The wind farm will be installed in the country’s north. The area has strong average wind speeds of 8 meters per second.
The Nordex Group will mount the 4.8 MW turbines on 120-meter-high concrete towers this year, which the Group manufactures in the region. The rotor blades are also manufactured locally at the company’s Mexican plant in Matamoros.
The project name and customer are undisclosed as per customer request.
