Octopus Hydrogen has announced a new cooperation with a group of companies to develop additional green hydrogen production plants around the United Kingdom.
Octopus Hydrogen will design, build, and run hydrogen production projects at several Innova Renewables renewable generation sites as part of a cooperation between the energy business Innova Renewables and the development consultant firm Novus.
Electrolyser, compression, and mobile hydrogen storage installations will all be part of the project’s development.
Octopus Hydrogen anticipates that its electrolyzers will have a capacity ranging from two to twenty megawatts.
At the moment, Novus is collaborating with Innova Renewables to create 4GW of solar, wind, and battery-based energy capacity.
“Partnering with Innova and Novus will allow us to expand and establish our decentralized model for green hydrogen generation throughout the United Kingdom,” stated Will Rowe, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Octopus Hydrogen.
“With this cooperation, we will be able to boost the quantity of green hydrogen accessible in the United Kingdom by roughly 25 tonnes per day, which will be enough to decarbonize over 500 long haul heavy-duty trucks.”
