Enersense and P2X have agreed to form a significant partnership in relation to both the construction and later maintenance of the hydrogen production plant.

The news follows Enersense’s announcement that it will invest EUR 13 million in P2X Solutions Oy. In terms of the investment, P2X announced that it has approved a EUR 70 million investment decision for the construction of Finland’s first green hydrogen production plant in Harjavalta. The green hydrogen production plant in the Harjavalta Industrial Park will have a capacity of 20 MW, and construction will begin in the autumn of 2022. The plant’s construction is expected to be completed in the first half of 2024.

Jussi Holopainen, CEO, Enersense International said: ”The investment decision relating to Finland’s first green hydrogen production plant is a significant issue. Hydrogen has a key role in the development of zero-emission energy solutions and energy storage. The hydrogen market is growing fast and it is great that there are Finnish operators in leading roles in the development.”
