Pacific Northwest Hydrogen Association (PNWH2) is a public-private partnership, a non-profit organization registered with the State of Washington. In order to support a funding submission for the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Hydrogen Hubs (H2Hubs), PNWH2 is seeking information (View RFI) on possible projects.

Building regional networks of clean hydrogen producers, prospective clean hydrogen consumers, and connecting infrastructure is the goal of the DOE H2Hubs grant opportunity.

In order to gather data on all prospective projects in the Northwest that should be taken into account while developing its initial proposal to DOE, PNWH2 has launched a survey. According to the H2Hubs Notice of Intent’s federal instructions, possible contributions to a wider network for the deployment of clean hydrogen, and other program goals, PNWH2 will assess applicant projects.

This year’s final Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) is anticipated to be released by DOE in September or October. Invitations to submit a full proposal will most likely be sent out 4 weeks after the deadline for concept papers, which is usually 6 to 8 weeks later. PNWH2 anticipates having roughly 4 months to put together a thorough presentation after accepting the invitation. If the project is successful, PNWH2 might get up to $1 billion for building a clean hydrogen hub in the Pacific Northwest.

How to submit the details of your project

The survey form linked below will be used to collect project data that will help PNWH2 create a concept paper and proposal for the DOE H2Hubs grant.

An interactive procedure has just begun with this stage. PNWH2 will evaluate the proposals that were submitted through the survey and contact responders for more information if necessary.

Date of submission: July 26, 2022
