Pamesa Grupo Empresarial, Europe’s biggest ceramic producer, has invested $11.2 million in a fresh round of funding and signed a 10-year contract with eCombustible Energy LLC, a pioneer and leading provider of modular hydrogen-based fuel for thermal industrial applications in the United States.

The Pamesa Group’s goal is to gradually replace natural gas usage with eFuel fuel, with the first phase beginning with the delivery of thermal energy at one of the Pamesa Group’s plants in Onda, Castellón.

eFuel is made for large-scale thermal combustion processes like those found in mining, metal fabrication, chemical facilities, and other heat-intensive industries like atomized earth and tile production.

“As one of the world’s top five tile manufacturers, Pamesa Grupo Empresarial has taken the lead in its industry’s efforts to adopt a clean energy alternative to manufacture ceramic products at a competitive and predictable cost, despite the volatile oil price and market uncertainty,” says Jorge Arévalo, CEO and founder of eCombustible Energy.

Pamesa Grupo Empresarial President Fernando Roig adds: “The Pamesa Group and its clients value the use of alternative fuels to aid the environment. At the same time, our investment and contract with eCombustible will help us reach our sustainability goals. that we continue to provide high-quality ceramic items at reasonable costs “..

This investment is ideally linked with the company group’s CSR policy and stringent environmental management. In addition to having Europe’s largest rooftop photovoltaic park for self-consumption, the company has a zero-waste policy, with its main areas of action being the recycling of 100% of solid and liquid waste, water recycling both within the group and from other companies in the sector, heat recovery from factory ovens, and pallet recycling.
