The two companies plan to supply hydrogen to customers from commercial waste using Wildfire Energy’s conversion technology.

Known as Wildfire’s proprietary Moving Injection Horizontal Gasification (MIHG) technology, the process converts waste into hydrogen by loading waste into the MIHG reactor with raw syngas then conditions it to remove chars, sulphurs and other contaminants for hydrogen to be separated and purified for end use.

Wildfire plans to produce 1,500 kg/day of hydrogen at its plant in Queensland, which Pure Hydrogen will then resell to end users thorough its planned network of hydrogen hubs.

Pure Hydrogen recently outlined its plan to develop five hydrogen manufacturing and distribution hubs on Australia’s east coast as it attempts to become one of the largest hydrogen producers in the country.
