The world’s first “hydrogen + 5G” smart ecological terminal, Qingdao Port, has developed a hydrogen energy-driven solution for the fuelling of equipment needed for the operation of a big port as part of its commitment to become an ecologically friendly and low-carbon center.
The technology lowers sulfur dioxide emissions by 0.11 kg per TEU and carbon emissions by about 3.5 kg. 21,000 tons of carbon dioxide and 640 tons of sulfur dioxide emissions are predicted to be reduced per year, based on a capacity of 3 million TEUs per year.
