Rayonier Advanced Materials and VERSO ENERGY are solidifying their partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at delving into the production of e-SAF, Sustainable Aviation Fuel, using green hydrogen technology.
This collaboration sets the stage for exploring the utilization of Biogenic Carbon Dioxide (Biogenic CO2) from RYAM’s Tartas France plant in conjunction with Green Hydrogen to develop eSAF, a critical component in combating the escalating greenhouse gas levels via Carbon Capture Utilization. Moreover, the companies envision securing financial support from the French government to underwrite the costs associated with this in-depth feasibility study slated to span multiple years.
The joint pursuit of eSAF production by RYAM and VERSO ENERGY exemplifies a strategic alignment towards addressing environmental concerns and fostering innovation in the renewable energy sector.
