The governor of Rio Grande do Norte (RN), Fátima Bezerra (PT), signed two memorandums of understanding for the development of green hydrogen production plants and derivatives in locations near the planned Porto-Industry of the state while on a trip to Portugal to meet with European investors.

According to Kgosientsho Ramokgopa, chief of the presidency’s infrastructure office, wealthy countries have a responsibility to support South Africa’s development of green hydrogen as part of a worldwide drive to decarbonize.

To advance the hydrogen industry, the Korean Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Energy will find and promote 600 hydrogen-focused businesses by 2030.

By identifying and supporting outstanding hydrogen businesses in the area that will drive the hydrogen economy, Pohang City, Gyeongsangbuk-do hopes to lay the groundwork for becoming a hub city for the hydrogen economy.
