Quantum Fuel Systems and Renewable Innovations have announced a collaboration to bring novel Hydrogen distribution solutions to market.

As the globe shifts to Hydrogen as a clean, green energy source, infrastructure must adapt to meet the demands of the burgeoning Hydrogen economy. Renewable Innovations will use Quantum Hydrogen storage tanks in its transportable Fuel Cell and H2 transport systems to assist address this difficulty.

“In addition to their specialization in mobile applications, Quantum has over 20 years of Hydrogen experience and is now on the bleeding edge of looking at power production and backup power applications,” said Robert Mount, Founder, President, and CEO of Renewable Innovations. “We’re excited to collaborate with Quantum to expand and strengthen Hydrogen infrastructure for applications, on-site storage, refueling, and transportation.”

Both companies see this collaboration as a vital step in bringing Hydrogen-powered technologies to market. “Quantum is recognized for daring ideas and creating an impact,” said Mark Arold, President of Renewable Innovations. “They have gone beyond picturing a green, clean future powered by Hydrogen to actually creating it now, and we are thrilled to supply mobile Hydrogen capacity for this project and look forward to collaborating as key partners on future projects.”

Quantum has a long history with Hydrogen, beginning in 1999 with the world’s first 5,000 psi Hydrogen system on a commercial vehicle and subsequently with the first certification of a 10,000 psi Hydrogen storage tank to international standards. Quantum delivered its first Hydrogen virtual pipeline trailer to a North American customer in December 2021. Renewable Innovations has also established itself as a pioneer in the integration and commercialization of automotive Hydrogen fuel cells for mobile and stationary applications, including quick EV charging.
