Municipiul Sibiu has announced a tender titled “Achiziție autobuze electrice de 10 metri, stații de încărcare lente și stații de încărcare rapidă”, published on March 18, 2025.
Interested parties are invited to submit proposals by a date yet to be confirmed. This tender is crucial for the hydrogen industry as it demonstrates the increasing commitment to sustainable transport solutions in the metropolitan area of Sibiu, Romania.
The primary objective of this tender is to procure six electric buses, along with six slow charging stations and two rapid charging stations. These assets are part of the “MODERNIZAREA SI EXTINDEREA TRANSPORTULUI PUBLIC LA NIVELUL ZONEI METROPOLITANE SIBIU” project, aiming to enhance public transportation networks with eco-friendly solutions.
The contract includes delivery of the buses, set to be 10 meters in length, fully equipped, along with necessary charging infrastructure. The project supports the Clean Vehicles Directive, aligning with EU policies for reducing carbon emissions in public transport. Technical requirements include the provision of charging stations that comply with the specifics described in the tender documentation. The project is partially financed by EU funds, ensuring compliance with sustainable procurement goals.
