Swiss aerospace leader Sirius Aviation joins forces with MEHAIR, India’s prominent seaplane operator, to usher in a new era of sustainable aviation.

With an order of 50 Sirius Millennium Jets, equipped with cutting-edge hydrogen propulsion technology, this historic agreement marks a significant milestone in the quest for carbon-neutral air travel.

The Sirius Millennium Jet stands at the forefront of aviation innovation, boasting hydrogen-powered, zero-emission capabilities coupled with vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) capabilities. With features like high-speed performance, quieter ducted fan jets, and an advanced hydrogen powertrain, the Sirius Jet promises to revolutionize air travel, offering passengers a luxurious and eco-conscious flying experience.

For MEHAIR, this partnership represents a significant leap for India’s aviation sector. By embracing hydrogen-powered aircraft, MEHAIR aims to offer passengers environmentally friendly travel options with zero emissions, aligning with India’s clean energy objectives and fostering transformative growth in the industry.

Under this landmark partnership, key initiatives include establishing assembly lines for hydrogen VTOL jets in India, developing franchise models for sales and support, navigating product certification processes, and building a robust green hydrogen infrastructure nationwide. Additionally, the collaboration aims to design and operate Verti-ports across India, providing comprehensive training for Sirius Jet fleet operation and maintenance.

By 2025, the Sirius Jet will be introduced in two versions: the Sirius Business Jet for private use and the Sirius Millennium Jet for commercial operations. This strategic collaboration not only propels the aviation industry towards sustainability but also sets the stage for future advancements in green aviation technology worldwide.
