Based on water electrolysis technology, SK E&S, in collaboration with Plug Power, a worldwide hydrogen corporation, ushers in the ‘clean green hydrogen age.’
SK Plug Hiverse announced that it has secured a deal with Korea Gas Corporation to deliver 1MW-class polymer electrolyte membrane (PEM) water electrolysis equipment for extracting hydrogen from water.
SK Plug Hiverse is a joint venture (JV) between SK E&S and Plug, a US hydrogen firm, that was formed in January of this year to promote cooperative initiatives throughout Asia. The PEM water electrolysis facility provided by this firm is a national initiative of the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy, with funding from the Korea Energy Technology Evaluation and Planning Institute.
