Sterling and Wilson Solar Solutions have revealed that they have been awarded a $99 million contract to build a 194 MW project in the United States.
It is being built by a leading sustainable energy company, and will be co-located in an region that is in service with substantial wind production.
Project construction will begin in September 2020 and commission by November 2021.
The entire turn-key execution for the PV project will be operated by SWSS, and once commercially operational, the plant will generate enough solar energy to power over 35.000 homes, saving around 275.000 metric tons of carbon emissions.
The plant will make use of bifacial technology to improve power density output.
