Off-track, Extreme E performed a successful first test of a brand-new and cutting-edge mobile fuel cell system provided by ENOWA, the competition’s Green Hydrogen Power Partner, while it produced a stunning opening X Prix of Season 3 on the circuit.
The hydrogen fuel cell technology will be a source of green electricity in the NEOM region since it is a more transportable energy source and has a significant capacity for energy storage. The fuel cell was used for the first time ever at the Desert X Prix to power the fleet of electric racing cars used in the Championship.
