System for Authenticating Production, Storage, and Distribution of Hydrogen

A novel patent titled “System for Authenticating Production, Storage, and Distribution of Hydrogen” has been filed by C. Balaji. This patent proposes a comprehensive system designed to monitor and authenticate the entire lifecycle of hydrogen, from production to distribution.

The system outlined in the patent offers a technological solution to ensure the integrity of hydrogen supply chains. Central to the system is a data collection and processing device, equipped with a first processor. This device serves as the nerve center, communicating with various components including an electrolyzer, external storage units, and distribution units. By integrating these elements, the system is poised to accurately track the journey of green hydrogen through its lifecycle stages.

Role of the Electrolyzer

The electrolyzer plays a pivotal role in the production of green hydrogen by utilizing green power. The system’s ability to quantify the amount of green power used by the electrolyzer underscores its commitment to sustainability and transparency in production methods. By tracking this data, stakeholders can ensure that the hydrogen produced adheres to environmental standards.

Data Processing and Authenticity

An additional layer of data processing is managed by a remote data processing unit featuring a second processor. This unit works in tandem with the aforementioned data collection and processing device to authenticate the production, storage, and distribution processes. Together, they determine the quantum of green hydrogen produced, stored, and distributed, providing a clear and verifiable record of the hydrogen’s journey.

Storage and Distribution Insights

Storage units are a crucial node in the hydrogen supply chain. The patent’s system includes external storage units to manage and measure the green hydrogen’s storage before it reaches end consumers. This ensures that the quality and quantity of hydrogen remain intact throughout the storage phase. Furthermore, the distribution units are seamlessly integrated into the system, allowing for a smooth transit of hydrogen to its final destinations.
