Green hydrogen experiments will be conducted thanks to a contract won by Bolivia’s state-run electricity firm, Ende.
The work that will assist the construction of a pilot project at Ende Guaracachi’s 5MW Cobija solar park will be done by the engineering firm Tecnatom, based in Madrid.
Consorcio Regenera-Inesco was the second party to submit a bid for the 120-day contract.
The Baha Thermal Plant in Cobija, the departmental seat of Pando in the northwest of the nation, would employ the alternative fuel.
According to Ende information, a partnership between Siemens and Ende Andina to use green hydrogen in the latter’s thermoelectric facilities is among the other initiatives that are being looked into.
A national green hydrogen plan is being created, minister Franklin Molina Ortiz stated at the hydrocarbons and energies ministry’s 2022 public accountability meeting last month.
