Palma’s EMT buses use peninsula hydrogen

The plant in the Mallorcan town of Lloseta has closed due to a lack of demand, forcing the EMT of Palma to import green hydrogen for its buses from the peninsula. This situation is unaffected by the Palma City Council’s purchase of five of these vehicles from public transportation for almost five million euros under the leadership of the socialist mayor José Hila.

Earlier this year, the PSOE leadership, led by Teresa Ribera, the third vice president of the Government and minister for the ecological transition and the demographic challenge, Francina Armengol, the president of the Government, and Juan Pedro Yllanes, her vice president of Podemos, inaugurated a hydrogen plant amid much fanfare.
