Cummins addresses hydrogen in building industry at Utility Expo

Jim Nebergall, general manager of Cummins’ hydrogen ICE division, utilized this week’s Utility Expo in Kentucky, United States, to address hydrogen in the building industry on a panel at the Diesel Progress Summit.

This new platform gives OEMs the chance to hasten the decarbonization of off-highway applications and works with hydrogen, biogas, and sophisticated diesel engines. Its increased power density and smaller installation envelope allow OEMs to boost machine productivity and capabilities without increasing operating costs.

CAeS, Monte Aircraft Leasing and Torres Strait Air team up on hydrogen flights

A three-party deal covering the conversion of up to 10 Britten-Norman BN-2 Islanders to hydrogen-electric power has been signed by Cranfield Aerospace Solutions (CAeS), Monte Aircraft Leasing, and Australian charter company Torres Strait Air.

NepTech launches hydrogen-powered boats

With the marketing of its first zero-emission ships, the Aix-based start-up NepTech has reached a significant milestone after successfully receiving 1.6 million euros in funding. Starting early next year, four hydrogen-powered boats will sail. The marketing of its first electro-hydrogen propulsion catamarans marks a turning point for the young Aix-based business NepTech, which was founded just over two years ago.

The company, which is situated at the Technopôle de l’Arbois, closed a finance round last February for 1.6 million euros (800,000 in capital), enabling it to start producing its zero-emission boats, which range in length from 10 to 30 meters and can transport up to 200 passengers or roughly twenty tonnes of cargo.

They tested their about 2.5-meter-long demonstration in the Old Port of Marseille and on Lake Peyrolles in the Aix region two years ago. The start-up was able to hone its proprietary technique thanks to them.

HVR bets on green hydrogen for mobility

HVR Energy’s participation in the second Global movement Call will address the difficulties in creating green hydrogen with a focus on solutions for people and cargo movement.

With more than 20 years of experience in the field of renewable energy, HVR is dedicated to the decarbonization of the land, air, and maritime transportation sectors. As a result, it develops and manages the production, generation, storage, and distribution of renewable green hydrogen, which is primarily used for mobility solutions.

HVR energy will update attendees on the status of its most recent projects, including the production and supply facility in the Community of Madrid, throughout the exhibition.
