Hydrogen-powered truck tested in Hungary by Gebrüder Weiss

The first business in Hungary to begin testing a transport truck fuelled by hydrogen is Gebrüder Weiss Kft. In collaboration with Linde Gas Hungary Zrt, Gebrüder Weiss Kft. managing director Bálint Varga stated that the Hyundai Xcient truck will be utilized to execute zero-emission shipments for GW clients.

The test run is a component of the business’s sustainability goal to achieving zero operational emissions.

Varga unveiled the truck, a 36-ton vehicle with a 400-kilometer range that can transport about 17 metric tons of cargo, last week at a press conference.

Since the truck has been successfully hauling cargo for two years in Switzerland, it has traveled 70,000 kilometers annually, allowing GW to save 80 metric tons of carbon dioxide annually with only this one vehicle.
