NASA’s satellite finds hydrogen in Australia

On the radar of the Landsat 9 satellite, which monitors the region from outside the atmosphere, hydrogen gas that was emitted near the ‘Fairy Circles’ region in Western Australia’s North Perth Basin was captured.

Observing the Fairy Circles near the town of Moore, 150 kilometers north of Perth, on June 27, 2023, the Operational Terrain Imager on NASA’s Landsat 9, operated by the US Space Research Agency, reportedly captured the natural hydrogen emission. Kia unveils hydrogen light tactical concept vehicle at European defense expo

Kia is attending the MSPO 2023 defense industry expo in Kielce expo Center in Poland, which runs from today till September 8. MSPO military Expo, Europe’s largest international military industry exposition, is in its 30th year.

Kia will debut the ‘Hydrogen ATV (Hydrogen-powered Light Tactical Vehicle) Concept Car’ in Europe this year, along with a 4-seater cargo truck and mortar-mounted vehicle.

Kia claims that the ‘Hydrogen ATV Concept Car’ uses hydrogen power to improve the engine-driven ATV concept car. Its low-noise manoeuvring and ability to anticipate eco-friendly rules make it an excellent vehicle for future battlefields.

The compact tactical vehicle ‘4-seater cargo truck’ has a loading box that can transport troops and weapons at once and uses numerous power sources.

Airbus to use hydrogen fuel cells for A330 auxiliar power units

In order to generate electricity on the aircraft, Airbus UpNext has stated that it would swap out the onboard auxiliary power unit of an A330 with a hydrogen fuel cell system from R&D Dynamics.

An Airbus UpNext contract was awarded to the R&D Dynamics Corporation for this reason. R&D Dynamics will create air compressors through this arrangement for a brand-new demonstrator aircraft. This will be used to create the next generation of onboard non-propulsive power that produces the necessary electricity utilizing hydrogen fuel cells.

This is distinct from previous H2 in airplane initiatives, such as those garnering media attention from ZeroAvia. For the propulsion of its aircraft, that business uses H2. In this instance, various in-flight uses will be made of the electricity generated. These include uses besides propulsion, such as air conditioning and onboard illumination.
