Verdagy recently won a $39.6 million grant from the Department of Energy (DOE). This grant marks a pivotal step towards revolutionizing green hydrogen production.
Verdagy’s primary product is eDynamic, a technology that enables Advanced Alkaline Water Electrolysis (AWE). This technology, coupled with the DOE grant, is set to accelerate high-volume manufacturing of eDynamic electrolyzers in Verdagy’s Silicon factory located in the heart of Silicon Valley.
In 2023, it was announced that Verdagy’s factory in Silicon Valley was slated to promptly increase production of advanced alkaline water electrolyzers. Verdagy is expected to start shipments from its manufacturing facility located in Newark, CA, beginning in 2025, further bolstering efforts to leverage green hydrogen effectively.
The company’s electrolyzers deliver an unbeatably low levelized cost of hydrogen (LCOH) by leveraging high current densities, fast responses, and the widest dynamic range in the sector. This is in-line with real-time matching with renewable power sources, which is a revolutionary move in the renewable energy sector. Verdagy aims to reach the DOE’s goal of $2/kg levelized cost targets for green hydrogen by 2026.
