In a few decades, hydrogen may be an acceptable solution for trucks or airplanes, but not for private cars. As a result, Herbert Diess hopes that this debate will be over soon.

Volkswagen has repeatedly spoken out against hydrogen as a viable option for the near future, and now Herbert Diess has responded directly to admit the future government candidates here a clear line.

Volkswagen AG’s CEO uses Twitter to put pressure on the government and argue against the latest scientific findings. Volkswagen has focused on electromobility, so it has a financial interest as well.

But one cannot deny that Diess is arguing with science here, and it is an excellent argument. Whether or not Volkswagen gains from this, the need for a clear strategy is understandable.

He backed up his claims with this research.
