The two new owners, both of whom are involved in renewable energy and sustainable investments, are contributing extra cash and experience to VoltH2 in order to speed up the growth of green hydrogen production capacity in Europe.
VoltH2 was created in 2020 by André Jurres, an experienced energy entrepreneur, and has already acquired permission for two manufacturing sites in Vlissingen and Terneuzen, with comprehensive plans for a third facility in Delfzijl in the works.
These plants have a combined capacity of 75MW, which can be expanded up to 250MW over time. VoltH2 is a major participant in Europe due to its anticipated capacity.
VoltH2’s new cooperation with DIF Capital Partners and Virya Energy will aid in the development of its first green hydrogen production facilities as well as the expansion of its pipeline.
Virya Energy, the Belgian holding company that owns Parkwind, and VoltH2 have already begun working together on a green hydrogen facility in Terneuzen.
