IOCL extends hydrogen plant bid submission dates

An Indian Oil Corporation official told Moneycontrol that the deadline for submitting bids for the construction of the state-owned oil marketing company’s first green hydrogen facility in Panipat has been extended by an additional two weeks.

The official stated that the bid opening date, which was originally scheduled for April 23 but was pushed back to May 7 due to requests from potential bidders for additional time to finalize agreements in accordance with the updated tender guidelines, was started on April 15.

CQSola becomes ANU’s project partner in hydrogen research

In a fresh round of financing for hydrogen research, the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) has awarded $2.25 million (USD 1.4 million) to Canberra-based Australian National University (ANU), which has designated CQSola as a project partner.

The electrolyser-based renewable hydrogen production methods now in use have several drawbacks in energy conversion efficiency. To counter this, ANU researchers have created a lab-based direct sun-to-hydrogen (DSTH) device that integrates solar cells and catalytic electrodes into a single module.

Amplus Solar prepares to launch green hydrogen projects

Amplus Solar has already started working on this green hydrogen concept and is preparing to launch distributed green hydrogen projects by the end of the year. With a focus on providing solar energy via off-site solar farms and on-site installations such as rooftop and ground-mounted systems, the company presently has over 1.9 GW of distributed solar assets in India that are either operational or in the process of building.
