Hydrogen startup Ekona Power secures funding

Ekona Power, a hydrogen startup based in British Columbia, has successfully secured $1 million in funding from the federal government. This significant financial boost aims to accelerate Ekona Power’s development of innovative hydrogen production technology. The funding comes from the Strategic Innovation Fund, a federal initiative designed to support companies that demonstrate high potential for innovation and economic growth.


CityBus secures grant for hydrogen buses

CityBus, the public transportation provider for the Greater Lafayette area, has received a significant financial boost. A recently awarded grant focuses on developing hydrogen fuel cell buses, marking a transformative step toward sustainable and environmentally friendly public transportation.

The funding, part of a broader initiative to combat climate change and reduce carbon emissions, will facilitate the acquisition and integration of hydrogen fuel cell buses into CityBus’s existing fleet. This move is seen as a pioneering effort in adopting cutting-edge technology within the region.


Advait Infratech secures major contracts

Advait Infratech Limited has recently announced securing significant projects in the solar energy and green hydrogen sectors. The contracts, collectively valued at INR 72.69 crore, mark a substantial step forward for the company in its commitment to sustainable energy solutions.

The projects include extensive solar energy initiatives and pioneering ventures in green hydrogen technology. As part of its green hydrogen undertakings, Advait Infratech aims to leverage cutting-edge technology to produce hydrogen fuel with a minimal carbon footprint.


First Hydrogen praises UK hydrogen initiative

First Hydrogen Corp., a prominent player in the hydrogen energy sector, has expressed strong support for the United Kingdom’s newly launched hydrogen initiative. The UK government recently announced an ambitious program valued at £500 million, aiming to bolster the development and adoption of hydrogen as a key component in the transition to cleaner energy.

The initiative underscores the UK’s commitment to green technologies. By investing a substantial amount into hydrogen infrastructure and research, the government seeks to position the nation as a leader in sustainable energy. Hydrogen is viewed as a critical element in reducing carbon emissions and achieving climate goals.
