Over the last year, the hydrogen and fuel cell industries have grown at a rate that far exceeds predictions.

As a result of this extraordinary demand, the Western States Hydrogen Alliance (WSHA) has chosen to expand its support for hydrogen and fuel cell markets to all 50 states. We are pleased to announce our new name, the United States Hydrogen Alliance, to reflect this increased reach (USHA).

USHA’s mission will remain to be the go-to organization for directly assisting policymakers in developing hydrogen and fuel cell policies, advocating for the hydrogen and fuel cell industries actively and effectively, and enabling strategic deployments of hydrogen and fuel cells at economies of scale that accelerate consumer adoption and cost parity.

USHA offers members a variety of paths to increased commercial success with the ultimate goal of widespread market adoption. WSHA has sponsored, supported, or aided in the passage of 16 legislative legislation in four states in less than a year since its inception. We add value to our members by developing policy initiatives that will expedite technology deployment, as well as by providing the education, policy development, and supportive advocacy necessary for legislators to successfully champion the inclusion of hydrogen and fuel cells in clean energy initiatives, subsidies, and other policies.

USHA will introduce ‘H2Net’ in its new capacity, which will be a nationwide network that will offer seamless access to dependable and inexpensive hydrogen for transportation, commercial, and industrial applications. USHA will leverage the $9.5 billion in Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act funds by collaborating with all interested state policymakers to develop additional policies to ensure that the hydrogen and fuel cell industries make the quantum leap required to realize their potential to replace incumbent technologies and fuels.
