The KINTEX Exhibition Center in Goyang is preparing to open its doors this November as Asia’s largest hydrogen industry platform gathers for World Hydrogen Expo 2026. Running under the central banner of bringing bankable projects to market, the three-day gathering coincides with South Korea’s fifth statutory Hydrogen Day, signaling a clear shift across the global sector from early-stage demonstration toward scalable, commercial deployment.

Co-chaired by Dae-Jin Jeong, President and CEO of the Korea Automobile & Mobility Association, and Jae-Hong Kim, President and CEO of the Korea Hydrogen Alliance, the opening ceremonies will bring together hundreds of international dignitaries and corporate leaders. Together, delegates plan to unveil a joint declaration aimed at accelerating cross-border clean energy integration and establishing practical industrial frameworks.

Across the expansive exhibition floor, over two hundred companies representing twenty countries will showcase commercial-ready solutions spanning every stage of the value chain. Production technologies will feature megawatt-scale electrolysis and waste-to-hydrogen systems led by Hyundai Motor Group’s HTWO platform, alongside high-purity gas purification from Technical Korea and advanced power supply rectifiers from Japan’s TMEIC Corporation. In storage and infrastructure, major material suppliers including Kolon Group will display proprietary carbon fiber modules and fuel-cell moisture components alongside Type 4 pressure vessels and MEMS-based leak detectors. Mobility highlights feature heavy-duty commercial fuel cell systems, closed-cathode air-cooled power packs designed for defense applications, and automated hydrogen refueling robots.

In parallel, the global conference program addresses the financial and regulatory structures necessary to scale project economics. Keynote presentations from leadership at the Hydrogen Council and the International Energy Agency will offer updated market forecasts, while dedicated deep-dive sessions examine greenhouse gas accounting, green ammonia trade corridors, and revised refueling standards from the International Organization for Standardization. International collaboration takes center stage during country-focused tracks, featuring bilateral agreements and supply chain partnerships between key market players across Asia, Europe, and Australia.

To ensure technical readiness translates into executed contracts, the expo pairs its technical program with targeted business matching. Co-organized with KOTRA, structured B2B sessions will connect major international infrastructure buyers with dozens of clean-tech enterprises. Meanwhile, fourteen finalists in the H2 Innovation Award competition will present breakthroughs in on-site refueling hubs, ionic liquid compressors, and marine propulsion systems, reflecting a broader industry push to move clean hydrogen from concept to commercial reality.
