Subsea 7 has been awarded a contract worth between $150 – $300 million by Vattenfall for the Hollandse Kust Zuid (HKZ) 1-4 offshore wind farm project.
Approximately 140 wind turbine monopile foundations and 315km of 66kV inner array grid cables will be installed in water depths between 18 and 27 meters.
Installation is scheduled for 2021 and 2022 using Seaway 7’s heavy lift, cable lay and support vessels.
When completed, the HKZ 1-4 offshore wind farms will have an installed capacity of approximately 1.5GW, which will meet the needs of around 2-3 million Dutch households.
