Vestas has expanded its presence in Japan with a 43 MW order for the Yokohama-machi Wind Power Plant in the Japanese prefecture of Aomori.
The plant, which is owned by Japan Wind Development, will include nine Vestas V117-3.45 MW turbines and three Vestas V105-3.45 MW turbines with 94-meter towers. The turbines are delivered in 3.6 MW operating mode.
The order provides a multi-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM5000) service arrangement, which provides the consumer with an energy-based availability assurance to ensure optimal efficiency and long-term business case certainty.

Vestas turbines will be delivered in the first quarter of 2022, with commissioning set for the fourth quarter.
