Höegh Autoliners is stepping up its efforts to reduce carbon emissions in order to achieve its target of a zero-emission future.
The launch of the Aurora Class is a significant move forward in the company’s dedication to sustainability. It will be the world’s largest car carrier, with a capacity of 9,100 car equivalent units.

The Aurora class is planned to carry futuristic cargo. Its reinforced decks and improved internal ramp systems enable Electric Vehicles to operate on all decks, allowing for greater flexibility when transporting heavier project cargo.
The multi-fuel engine of the Aurora Class can run on a variety of biofuels and conventional fuels, including LNG. It can be converted to use potential zero-carbon fuels, such as Green Ammonia, with slight modifications.
With the future of cargos and zero carbon fuels in mind, the Aurora vessels is designed for a greener future. It is the most environmentally friendly car carrier ever built. The Aurora Class represents a big step on our path to a zero emissions future.
