Riversimple Movement and DHL Supply Chain have teamed up to deliver zero-emission vehicles to the UK market, specifically those powered by hydrogen, while also developing a green hydrogen supply chain.
The two formalized their ambitions by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), through which they want to get the funding needed to scale up hydrogen car production.
In addition, the cooperation will focus on sustainability projects, such as building and testing zero-emission vehicles and examining how the hydrogen economy may assist both sides meet the Paris climate targets.
DHL is presently aiding Riversimple in the planning for its first full-scale sustainable manufacturing facility in Wales, where the company will construct hydrogen electric vehicles provided to clients on a monthly subscription basis, already exceeding the ambitious projections.
All motoring costs, including as fuel, maintenance, and insurance, are covered by Riversimple’s monthly subscription for the vehicles. The financial drivers of the company are aligned with positive environmental outcomes such as decreased carbon emissions in this circular economy business model.
