Green hydrogen is needed for fuel cells, and TECO 2030 ASA and Gen2 Energy have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to work together on those projects.
It is agreed that Gen2 Energy will look into supplying green hydrogen to relevant projects, such as ports, offshore fish farms, and other heavy-duty customers, for which hydrogen and power conversion through fuel cells are required. Hydrogen can be transported onboard vessels powered by hydrogen fuel cells thanks to Gen2 Energy’s partnership with TECO 2030 Marine Fuel Cells.
Through the “Hydrogen Hub Nordland” project, the parties intend to collaborate on soft funding for maritime hydrogen applications and the development of a complete hydrogen value chain. Hydrogen industry in northern Norway and zero-emission sailing along Norway’s coastline will be enabled through collaborative efforts between the parties involved.
In order to assist the other party in the establishment of their shared vision of an emissions-free ocean and heavy industry space in the Nordic region, the MoU has been signed by both parties. The parties will work together to promote each other’s hydrogen-related products and services to the community.
