As part of its exploration of the fuel cell car market, the Chinese hydrogen solution supplier FTXT showcased items that are among the best in the world.
Jupiter’s storage system is one of them. According to FTXT, the Jupiter tank can hold more than 80 kg of liquid hydrogen, which would allow fuel cell cars to travel more than 1,000 miles. The most recent iteration of the company’s gas hydrogen storage tank was also made public.
The new tank’s storage density has increased to 6.1 percent weight per volume, above the US Department of Energy’s 2025 target of 5.5 percent weight per volume.
The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region will be the first of 100 hydrogen recharging stations to be built around the nation, according to FTXT Vice President Xie Chaopeng. As a demonstration project, FTXT has also teamed up with businesses like HBIS and Skywell to operate a fleet of 650 fuel cell trucks.
