In the region of Bretagne, France, an audacious vision was conceived when André Morin, a seasoned pilot and mechanics expert, crossed paths with Wilson Hago, a California-based chemist and physicist. Their shared ambition was to revolutionize the transport and mobility sector by commercializing a cutting-edge hybrid hydrogen engine system that incorporated a carbon dioxide capture (CO2) technology.

Fast forward to March 2022, and Didier Arénal, a business developer with a penchant for innovation, took the helm as the President and CEO of the start-up, Efficient Hydrogen Motors (EHM). Didier’s appointment marked a new chapter for the company as he assembled a team of Ph.D. scientists and engineers from across France. Today, EHM stands as a testament to innovation in the world of hydrogen engines.

EHM is on a mission to lead the charge in the transition to hydrogen-powered transportation. The company’s crowning achievement lies in its patented groundbreaking technology, which boasts redesigned combustion cycles and innovative materials. The result? High-efficiency, long-lasting hydrogen engines that power trucks, buses, and ships, all while emitting zero CO2. These engines are poised to outperform traditional hydrogen combustion engines and even fuel cell counterparts, all while maintaining a competitive cost structure.

As the global pursuit of clean energy solutions continues to gain momentum, EHM is gearing up for a pivotal year. The company has plans to conduct vehicle-based tests in 2023, bringing their groundbreaking technology from the drawing board to the road. These tests will not only validate the efficiency of their hydrogen engines but also set the stage for broader adoption in the transportation industry.

Furthermore, EHM is expanding its footprint with the addition of a production unit, heralding a brighter economic future for the Bretagne region in France. As the company grows, so does its commitment to environmental sustainability and job creation.

CEO Didier Arénal envisions a future where EHM’s technology plays a pivotal role in sustainable transport solutions across France and Europe. The ultimate goal is to pave the way for cleaner and more efficient mobility, all powered by the potential of hydrogen.

The challenges of any innovative company lie in efficient collaboration, streamlined project management, and seamless communication. EHM quickly recognized that the 3DEXPERIENCE platform offered the ideal solution for their collaborative needs. This cloud-based product development environment has transformed the way the team operates, enhancing their efficiency and security when working with internal and external stakeholders.

One of the significant advantages of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, as highlighted by CEO Didier Arénal, is that it ensures everyone is working with the latest data. EHM’s use of this affordable yet reliable technology ensures they remain competitive and at the forefront of innovation. As the company grows, the collaborative power of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform continues to fuel their pursuit of groundbreaking hydrogen-powered transport solutions.

In a world transitioning to greener and more sustainable energy sources, EHM and its pioneering technology represent a beacon of hope. Their mission is clear: to change the face of transportation and drive us into a cleaner, more sustainable future. With hydrogen at the helm, EHM is steering the way.
