Saudi Arabia presents first hydrogen truck

The first hydrogen truck was introduced in Saudi Arabia by the Transport General Authority (TGA) in association with Almajdouie Logistics.

The Kingdom’s Vision 2030 aims to provide an environment free of carbon emissions, and TGA is committed to reaching these goals. To that end, the first-ever hydrogen truck has been launched on an experimental basis.

According to TGA, the vehicle is built and outfitted to carry cargo in compliance with safety regulations, and it can go over 400 kilometers. The truck also has the capability to carry up to 35 kg of hydrogen fuel and 350 bar of gas pressure, which is another feature.

AMAN green hydrogen project moves forward in Mauritania

The business disclosed this week at the MSGBC Oil, Gas & Power 2023 conference that the technical and environmental assessments for the CWP Global-led AMAN green hydrogen project in Mauritania are at an advanced level.

The company is advanced in its technical assessments, according to Ramy Lotfy, Chief Commercial Officer at CWP Global, who made this explanation during a panel discussion titled Green Hydrogen: A Vector for Industrialization.

Mauritania currently has a large number of active projects in progress. While CWP Global is carrying out the $40 billion AMAN project, Germany’s Conjuncta is building a $34 billion green hydrogen facility alongside Masdar in the United Arab Emirates and Infinity Power in Egypt. Concurrently, Total Eren and Chariot are working on the 10 GW Project Nour, which shows that large-scale projects are feasible in the nation.

Nuvera Fuel Cells opens Dutch facility

The Netherlands’ Nijmegen is now home to Nuvera Fuel Cells, LLC’s new office. The company offers fuel cell power solutions for off-road and on-road mobility as well as other applications. From its Nijmegen location, Nuvera will offer sales support, application development, and aftermarket services, strengthening its relationships to European clients and boosting its local sales and support efforts.

Additionally, this increased presence will make it easier to work with parent business Hyster-Yale Group on the ongoing development of heavy-duty equipment and port machinery powered by fuel cells.
