Northern Africa emerges as a prime hub for green hydrogen investments, attracting a staggering estimated investment of over US$17 billion. Industrial Info Resources, headquartered in Sugar Land, Texas, reveals insights into this burgeoning sector, tracking 25 green hydrogen projects strategically positioned across Egypt, Morocco, and Tunisia.

The green hydrogen sector in Northern Africa is witnessing an unprecedented surge in investment, positioning the region as a focal point for renewable energy endeavors. With a cumulative investment value surpassing US$17 billion, this influx of capital underscores the strategic importance of green hydrogen in the region’s economic landscape.

Industrial Info Resources, a prominent information and analytics provider, is actively monitoring and tracking the development of 25 green hydrogen projects distributed across key Northern African nations, namely Egypt, Morocco, and Tunisia. This comprehensive tracking effort provides crucial insights into the scale and distribution of investments in the green hydrogen domain.

The trifecta of Egypt, Morocco, and Tunisia emerges as the primary driving force behind the surge in green hydrogen projects. These nations are strategically positioned to harness their renewable energy potential and contribute significantly to the global green hydrogen market.

The overarching goal of these green hydrogen projects is to establish Northern Africa as a powerhouse in sustainable and clean energy production. Leveraging advanced technologies, such as electrolysis powered by renewable sources, these projects aim to produce green hydrogen, a critical player in the transition towards a carbon-neutral future.

The impact of these investments extends beyond the immediate development of green hydrogen infrastructure. Northern Africa envisions substantial economic growth, job creation, and enhanced energy security. Additionally, by embracing green hydrogen, the region takes a bold step towards achieving carbon neutrality, aligning with global sustainability objectives.
