Nordhydrogen and Hydrogen Bar System (HBS) have entered into a strategic partnership to jointly implement and promote their complementary technologies, transforming the hydrogen landscape in Poland, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

This collaboration harnesses the strengths of Nordhydrogen’s plasma catalysis technology and HBS’s revolutionary hydrogen storage and transport system to create a comprehensive solution for hydrogen production, storage, and transportation.

Nordhydrogen, backed by mPower technology, introduces a plasma catalysis technology. This solution converts hydrocarbon waste streams into clean SyrGas on-site, addressing the environmental concerns associated with burning natural gas deposits. The technology efficiently processes waste or combusted gas into hydrogen (H2) and carbon monoxide (CO), offering a marketable final product in the form of pure syngas.

At the heart of this technology is the Hydrogen Bar System (HBS), this method, revolutionizes hydrogen storage and transport. HBS offers a simple, safe, cost-effective, and scalable solution, ushering in a new era in the hydrogen storage and transport sector. It provides universal access to hydrogen, positioning it as a pivotal energy carrier and store for the future.

HBS comprehensively addresses the challenges of storing and transporting hydrogen, particularly sourced from Renewable Energy Sources (RES). This solution not only contributes to achieving energy autonomy but also accelerates the “Hydrogen Revolution” by making hydrogen an eco-friendly and economical energy source.

Nordhydrogen’s gasification plant, powered by plasma catalysis, signifies a paradigm shift. The technology significantly reduces the size and weight of the entire gasification plant, making it mobile and container-sized. This breakthrough minimizes land requirements, permits, and other logistical challenges associated with waste-to-energy projects. Moreover, it enhances cleaning power, transforming impurities in the dirty gas into clean synthesis gas, thereby increasing energy value.

The reactor tested under rigorous conditions showcases remarkable efficiency in converting tar and pollutants into H2 and CO. This opens up possibilities for converting various hydrocarbons, including creosote, glycerin, fats, waste oils, resins, sugars, organic acids, VOCs, and aromatic compounds, into clean synthesis gas. The simplified design ensures ease of control, compactness, and affordability.

HBS utilizes a combination of connecting vessels to create a fully scalable system for storing and transporting hydrogen. This innovative approach, facilitated by underground drilling and horizontal drilling, forms an individualized system that accommodates producers, prosumers, and consumers. This scalable model ensures the production, storage, and transport of green hydrogen, addressing energy supply gaps globally.
