TAFE unveils hydrogen tractor prototype

The India-based tractor manufacturer unveiled a hydrogen tractor prototype with a 55 horsepower Simpson combustion engine at Agritechnica 23 last month. Hydrogen tanks are placed under the platform floor and below the seat of the tractor, which has taken part in field tests.

Overall tractor power and performance, according to TAFE spokesperson Ravindran Vijayakumar, exceeds Stage 5 engine emissions regulations criteria and is comparable to diesel engines.

Green hydrogen demo project selected as “dual-carbon” revolutionary tech R&D case by Chinese govt

The Chinese government has chosen the first 10,000-ton green hydrogen demonstration project as a 2023 “dual-carbon” revolutionary technology research and development case. Photovoltaic modules, electrolytic cells, hydrogen storage tanks, and hydrogen transport pipelines are among the main components of the China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation’s Xinjiang Kuche green hydrogen demonstration project that have been locally produced. This will help the domestic hydrogen equipment business grow quickly, which is very important.

IH2A expands its membership

Seven new industry members, Torrent Power, Synergen Projects, Godawari Power and Ispat, Technip Energies, HSBC Bank, Bureau Veritas, and Newtrace, have joined the India H2 Alliance (IH2A) to increase its membership. With 22 members, the IH2A is a powerful alliance that speaks for important companies involved in the hydrogen value chain, international investors, and technical organizations working with the Indian government to advance the hydrogen economy.

The expansion comes after the USD 50 billion Hydrogen Equipment and Exports Report and the USD 5 billion National Green Hydrogen Hub Economic Viability and Development Plan were submitted. In order to create significant commercial-scale green hydrogen projects in collaboration with the private sector, IH2A is actively collaborating with state governments.

Guardian Glass enters long-term agreement with Ryze Hydrogen

Guardian Glass has entered into a long-term agreement with Ryze Hydrogen to supply hydrogen.

The provided hydrogen will be used to make mirrors and float glass, the most common type of glass used in windows of cars and buildings.

Serving 160 countries on five continents, Guardian Glass operates more than 24 float glass lines globally. Ryze will supply hydrogen, a technical gas needed in the production of float glass, to Guardian’s UK facility in Goole, east Yorkshire.

Ryze joined Glass Futures earlier this year in an effort to investigate how hydrogen can help lower carbon emissions from the glass sector.

OQ Gas Networks showcases wastewater treatment project at GHSO in Oman

As a platinum sponsor of the Green Hydrogen Summit in Oman, OQ Gas Networks, one of OQ’s investments in the global energy group, showcased an eco-friendly wastewater treatment project in Nimr’s employee housing.

Using bioengineering in stages, the company installed a small Japanese wastewater treatment unit. With the help of biological processes in specially made tanks, this system effectively purifies water and eliminates waste from sewage without the use of chemicals.

OQGN is dedicated to being a key player in the shift in energy to hydrogen. This involves making certain that hydrogen is distributed, stored, and transported in a safe, effective, and dependable manner. Hydrogen becomes a vital component in Oman’s and the world’s transition to cleaner energy in order to combat climate change. It is the perfect energy transporter because of its sustainability and adaptability.

Charbone Hydrogen moves forward with green hydrogen in Quebec

Funds are being raised by Charbone Hydrogen Corporation for its aim to generate green hydrogen.

The firm, headquartered in Brossard, Quebec, is creating regional hubs and modular, extensible hydrogen facilities across North America. In order to differentiate itself as a provider of environmentally friendly solutions for consumers in the commercial, industrial, and mobility sectors, Charbone uses trustworthy and sustainable energy sources to produce green dihydrogen molecules.

As per a release, the business has concluded the first tranche of a $750,000 fundraising effort aimed at financing operations for the Sorel-Tracy project in Quebec and preparing for a “significant potential financing transaction.”

GUtech approved to launch Master of Science program in hydrogen

German University of Technology in Oman (GUtech) has been officially approved to launch a new Master of Science program in hydrogen economy and technology. In GUtech’s dedication to promoting learning, research, and innovation in sustainable energy, this is a critical turning point.

Graduates of this program will become influential figures who help build Oman’s hydrogen industry, promote good change, and aid in the world’s shift to more sustainable and effective energy sources.
